The whole world has changed in 2020. With the global pandemic, I find many of us our turning to the artist in us, panting, decorating, singing, as we nurture ourselves in these uncertain days. Being creative is also what makes us human isn't it? We make things, we paint, we draw, we build, we write, and we read which brings me to what's on our bookshelf.
Instead of buying some new books recently, I decided to browse through our existing little library and pull out what we already had. I felt like reading with M our little Misses and Mr.Men books. Can you tell from the above picture which one has been read the most? 😊 Of course! Mr.Tickles!!! With his long arms stretching up walls, going through a window and giving a good tickle to an unsuspecting teacher, causing all the students to burst into laughter😊 Oh, how naughty and mischievous
Instead of purchasing the entire set, each time M and me used to visit a bookstore, I would buy one more Mr.Men or little Miss book to add to our collection. These days her favourite is Mr.Nonsense who lives in you guessed it, Nonsense Land ! Eats porridge on toast and sleeps in a boat instead of a bed, up a tree 😊
Just thinking about the books makes me smile. Mr.Roger Hargreaves is no more but he certainly has left behind some wonderful whimsical characters to make you laugh and smile with your family.
Happy reading in lockdown days.
Love + light
See you in another post,
Sabrina.
