In Hemmingway's 'Old Man and the Sea',
the Old man refers to the sea as a woman,
is she not likewise affected by the moon? he says....
(he meant the waves are an effect of the moon's gravitational
pull on the earth, it being mostly water)
sometimes I wonder...
about the connection
between the moon,
the water
and
being
a
woman...
